British Wool

There are so many benefits to this uniquely cosy material. Here are just some of them...

Reduced air miles

Wool is entirely natural, sourced from the protein fibres found on the backs of sheep. As a British weaver, sourcing British wool means there are fewer air miles than from elsewhere, e.g. New Zealand.

Wool decomposes naturally and returns valuable nutrients to the soil. Compared to synthetic materials, it breaks down relatively quickly, reducing its environmental impact.

As long as there’s grass for sheep to graze on, they will produce woolly fleece, making wool a sustainable fibre source. Woolgrowers also actively engage in environmental preservation efforts

Easy to keep clean

This additional benefit of wool is due to its natural protective outer layer preventing marks and stains being absorbed, allowing dirt to sit on the surface, making it a practical choice for home textiles
